In 2005, after 12 years cutting his teeth in the television business, Vince Deur realized a dream when he finished production of his first internationally-distributed feature documentary film. Unsalted … A Great Lakes Experience was released in 30 cities across the U.S. and Canada, and earned Deur the third Telly Award of his career. As a passionate water safety advocate, he also produced a first of its kind, comprehensive water safety DVD and distributed over 15,000 free copies to Michigan schools. He currently chairs the Great Lakes Beach and Pier Safety Task Force & the Lake MI Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation.
